We want to shape the future of Rómer House together with you
Rómer House is an important part of Bratislava's cultural and historical heritage. Our ambition is not only to restore its historic spaces, but also to think about how they can be used after the restoration – as a vibrant place for culture, community, education, encounters and collaboration.
That is why we want to involve people who are connected to Rómer House or who can contribute their experience, ideas and expertise already at the project preparation stage.
Over the coming weeks, we will therefore launch a participatory process through which we will collect ideas and opinions from the public and engage in discussions with experts, cultural organisations, communities and project partners.
What would we like to know?
We would like to ask questions such as:
The participatory process will take several forms, including an online questionnaire for the public, a World Café discussion, an expert working workshop and a consultation with our Norwegian partner.
We want not only to listen, but to use what we hear
We see participation as an important part of preparing the project, not simply as a formal requirement of the funding application. We will analyse the ideas and recommendations we receive and, wherever possible, incorporate them into the planned restoration project and the future use and operation of Rómer House.
We also want to be transparent about which suggestions have been incorporated into the project and, where this is not possible, explain why.
Dates and further information about the individual participatory activities and how you can get involved will be published gradually on our website and social media channels.
If you have an idea, experience or vision for the future of Rómer House that you would like to share with us, we will be very happy to hear from you.
